About Lydia Grace

I’ve always been curious about many things. I enjoyed homeschooling my three children through high school because of the plethora of subjects I had to study well in order to teach them. We created an 85-foot timeline where the activities of God’s people were above the line and the world’s cultures below. This helped with understanding Old and New Testament context. We went through all of history four times, three years each time, integrating government, philosophy and religion.

I taught high school co-op courses on Where We Got Our Bible, tracing the writings and translations. Little did I know how foundational it would be for this book project in my late fifties. My homeschooling experience is just one of many ways I can now see God’s hand in preparing me to write Bible Truth About Women.

God made me a pioneer and I’ve enjoyed launching several ministry initiatives. I co-founded a camp ministry which serves around 1,000 people a year with various evangelistic and discipling programs. I launched a newspaper and managed a magazine, twice launched a radio show and grew it to 1,000+ Christian stations, and developed various campaigns and trainings for an international ministry.

In order to find time to attend seminary and write, I left my job and made my primary occupation an Airbnb Superhost. Writing the book has been one of the hardest things I’ve done–never sure I would complete it! It was also an incredible journey with Jesus that taught me a lot about God, myself, and some theology I wasn’t expecting. Check out my blog post about the book writing journey.

I often felt my worth was minimized simply because I was female. This book gently unraveled so many of those old beliefs and replaced them with truth, clarity, and freedom rooted in Scripture. Page by page, I felt seen. I felt understood.

And most of all, I felt reconnected to the truth of who God made women to be: created with purpose, strength, and dignity. This book offers a powerful and biblical reframing that I wish I had encountered years ago. If you are a woman who has ever questioned your place in God’s story, I cannot recommend this book enough. It brought healing to parts of me I didn’t even realize were still hurting, and I believe it can do the same for you.
